In my wishful waiting
for flowers in white froth,
I forgot the overpowering smell like too much perfume on old skin, the breezes press my nose into one breath, demanding release. Inhale and gulp, a taste like rancid tea drunk by mistake.
I forgot the flavor
of the Hawthorne at flowering.
